Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup sweet milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Raisins or coconut, for topping (amount not recorded)

Kitchen Note
"Sweet milk" is older recipe language for ordinary fresh milk (as opposed to buttermilk or sour milk).
